Holidays

Give each Beaver a fist class stamp and ask them to send you a postcard from their holidays or a visit they make during the holidays. (An address label might be useful too).

Make a scrapbook when you return in the Autumn.

Diaries

Get each Beaver to keep a holiday diary or weather diary and bring in after the Summer.

Visits

Have a Colony outing to a zoo, theme park, tourist attraction etc.

Invitations

Give each Beaver an invitation to “bring a friend” to the first meeting after the holidays.

Growing

 

Measure each Beavers’ height before the holiday (lining paper is good for recording the results). Measure each Beaver after the holidays. Who grew the most?

Collecting

 

Get each Beaver to fill a film case or Smarties Tube with coins to give to charity after the holidays. Adopt a cause (see Christian Aids’ goat appeal).
