Blackpool District Evening Gazette Competition

Each colony team (of 6 members) was given a picture of a beaver swimming, with trees etc on the bank and a friendly chipmunk sat on a tree stump (on A1 paper). The challenge was to  create a 'collage'  from torn-up pieces of paper (scissors were not allowed).

Their leader was allowed 5 minutes to “talk to the Beaver Scouts” about their ideas before the competition actually started.

            The leaders were then be asked to move two tables (clockwise) and supervise another Colony.

The 2nd place was won by 51st Blackpool with the 11th in 3rd place

In all 13 colonies took place which was a great number bearing in mind that Blackpool had 4" of snow the night before.
