BLACKPOOL DISTRICT BEAVER SCOUTS 

The Alan Barnes Trophy at Blackpool Zoo

Saturday 24th June 2006

The Blackpool Beaver Scouts visited Blackpool Zoo to take part in the Alan Barnes Trophy competition. As well as going around the zoo the children took part in 5 bases:-

Beaver pairs ( the Beaver scouts had to match 10 pairs (eg - World badge, Beaver Scout, Beaver animal etc)

Beaver beetle drive

Beaver 20th anniversary bookmark - using the anniversary badge on a bookmark

Beaver relay

Beaver Tin can alley - with beaver faces on the cans.

Each colony was awarded 10 points for visiting a base

The final competition base was in the Arena - it was a Marble Competition

All the Beaver Scouts and leaders had a great time - the 1st Norbreck won the overall competition
